Users are being kicked out of the queue for apparently no reason after being in it for a couple of minutes.
This is being reported on all versions so it does not appear to be related to any specific version. According the user reports it’s a TM, AX, TF and FestT issue.
Since we’ve resolved the unclickable button we are now focused on this as our top priority. We have everything we need at this point to address the issue and will update this page when have news.
Questions for Users
We’re still gathering information at this point. If you can help with any of these questions please click the Contact Us button below. Thanks!
- Is anyone seeing this on Insomniac for Firefox as well?
- There seems to be no rhyme or reason – any pattern to which ones get kicked out?
- When you get kicked out, what percentage of tabs in the queue are affected?
Captchas are not loading in secondary and tertiary tabs on Tweb so process cannot be completed
This issue has been added to our queue for investigation.
Two users have reported that Visa Checkout is failing. It seems to happen after users enter the cvv and submit card information. They expect a visa checkout box to pop up, but it never does and the page just refreshes.
We’re still trying to understand the cause. It’s possible Visa detects that there are some scripts being loaded on the site (i.e. ticketflipping or pasties) but that’s just a guess.
We need more information. If you have seen this recently, please take a moment now to turn logging on in your browser. It takes about 30 seconds. Instructions are:
- In the browser, click Menu–>Settings–>Advanced–>System–>Enable Logging
- There you will see a switch to turn on Logging. Please turn it on.
Then go about your business and if you see this happen again where the page refreshes without putting your payment info through, immediately click ‘Menu–>Report an Issue’ and send us a report. Please mention that Visa Checkout failed in the subject line of your Issue report.
Users are being forced to log in early in the purchase process instead of after adding items to the cart. st
This might just be how it is now rather than a bug, but we would love to hear details about exactly what conditions it’s happening under. Is it on certain pages only? Is it possibly a soft block? Only for VF? Please share anything you think is pertinent as we continue to monitor the situation.
The Issue: Flickering of tabs has been reported in Insomniac, Insomniac for Chrome, Insomniac for Firefox, regular Chrome, FF and Internet Explorer and All other browsers. Once a page is ready to enter the queue for the VWR it flickers and refreshes quickly and endlessly.
Conditions: This seems to be happening most with newer versions. We have not proven a connection to proxies though some users report proxies help with the situation. It happens on versions 126.96.36.199 and 188.8.131.52 and most users report it does not happen on 184.108.40.206 though some do.
- First try 220.127.116.11. Download any version here. Flickering has been fixed in that and higher versions.
- If you are getting it on newer versions, please roll back to 18.104.22.168
- Further you could try adding proxies to your tabs.
- Tab duplication method seems to matter. Please go to the list of all events for an artist, then right click the city you want to buy for and open the tab into a new tab. (Note that in 22.214.171.124 it doesn’t matter how you create or duplicate tabs so it’s an even better reason to update.
This issue is fixed in versions 126.96.36.199 and higher.
After clicking the submit button once, it is no longer clickable and the tab becomes useless.
This seems to be a problem on versions 188.8.131.52 and 184.108.40.206. No reports have been confirmed on other versions, but it’s possible they have happened.
This is something we need to fix. We’ve investigated and resolved the issue in a test build Tuesday. We are working to get the fix released early Wednesday morning so be sure to update to 220.127.116.11 to apply the fix. Prior versions will not be updated to include this fix, however since flickering is resolved as of version 18.104.22.168, this is the only version specific issue remaining. Therefore, it’s best to update.
Since releasing 22.214.171.124 we have had no reports of a broken submit button so we are moving this to the resolved section.
When entering the VWR, there is just a straight line where the VWR countdown timer should be.
So far, we’ve only received reports of this happening on the browser. No apparent link to any version. One user reported it with dedicated proxies all on the same subnet. This seems like a likely culprit – bad IP address. Other users that have reported it were not using proxies ,which supports the theory. This is also supported by the fact that we see it about as often as we see blocked proxies on our residential plan (<1% of the time).
We’ve seen this but it’s rare. It’s seems to be an IP block so adding proxies to your arsenal or trying mobile tethering are your best bet. We’re moving this to resolved issues since it’s a process issue and not a problem with the browser.
When using an account that has no credit card, the user tries to add a new card during checkout but the save button is not active.
It’s reported to be happening using Chrome autofill and also manually entering them.
The latest user reports seem to say that this was an error on the web site that has been fixed by them. Therefore we are closing this issue. If you are still having it please let us know below and as a temporary work around, adding a credit card before searching for something to buy seems to fix this issue.
Questions for Users
- Does fiddling with spaces in the cc number work?
- Does it work if you type it in, minding the spaces, instead of using autofill?
- What if you refresh the page and type it in, minding the spaces?
We’ve received two reports today that users cannot log into Showsonsale.
This issue was identified as a server error and it can be fixed by cleaning your browsing data from the Insomniac browser by clicking the 3 dots on the right upper corner of the browser > settings > advanced > Clear Browsing data > time range > all time > all three boxes checked as shown in the picture below > Clear data:
Transactions are failing because of errors that have not been seen before. Each error has a different number code.
There appears to be little rhyme or reason here. It could be an actual error on the site. Many web sites legitimately use error codes to debug problems with their code. At this point it does not seem to be happening in a large number of tabs.
The only solution at this point is to just close the tab and move on.
If you have any information that might be helpful in understanding the pattern of why these happen, please let us know, but it seems to be legitimate errors on their web site.
We received one report that the Proxy Per Tab setting was somehow turned on without user action.
The one report we’ve received so far was for a case where the user was on the trial version of Edge.
We were unable to replicate this. To test we set Proxy Per Tab settings to direct, then relaunched the browser. It was still on direct. We then tested again by simply closing then reopening the browser and it was fine in that case also. We tested on Version 126.96.36.199.
Questions for Users
This appears to be an isolated incident so we’ll close this ticket.
Users have reported that they cannot log in to the Ticket Flipping extension
These seems to be happening in 3.3.3.x versions. However 188.8.131.52 is not affected.
This was an issue with Slack authentication. It was fixed and released on April 12 in version 184.108.40.206. You can now log into the Ticket Flipping extension on all versions later than 220.127.116.11.
If you have suggestions for adding new features, please add it here: Request a Feature
Add VWR indicators for AX as well.
Request approved and in progress
Add dropdowns to select the time when adding a link to Link List instead of input boxes.
We’re open to this but would like to hear from more users and also see what other requests come in.
Allow adding of multiple Pasties when adding a link to Link List
We assume this is intended for when you have multiple unique text strings and want to use one on each tab. We’ve actually thought about how we could implement something like this for a while. We would like some input on how this should be designed though. Do you want multiple pasties on each tab? That could get messy but also gives you more at your fingertips. Do you want one pastie on each tab, but different text on each tab?
In other words if your pasties are sometext, sometext2, sometext3 should the first tab have all three? Or should the first tab have sometext, the second tab have sometext2, etc.
Any thoughts on how you want to load these?
Add a “Launch All” button to launch all links that are displayed in the dropdown.
This seems pretty useful. Since we don’t want accidentally launch all tabs for all future links you have, we would probably limit to launch all links for the next time slot. We could put a setting there to let you say which you want to launch, though it could make the extension drop down busy (especially once we integrate proxy options there). We also need to know in what order to launch them. Presumably you want the tabs grouped by link so we would need to launch all 5 tabs for link 1, then all 5 tabs for link 2, then all 10 tabs for link 3, etc.
Are we thinking about this correctly? Please add thoughts and comments below.
Add an indicator on the status to show how far through the VWR each tab has progressed.
This has been released and we are currently working on improving the intervals at which the colors change.
Add an option when you right click a page to convert the URL to the format that shows pricing.
This has been released. Right click any page to convert.
When a quantity is selected on a purchase page, I would like it to autofill the same thing in my other tabs.
We will not implement this feature. That’s would make Insomniac a bot and we will not implement such features.
