Pasties Now Save to Your Bookmarks

Now that we have migrated everyone to the new log in system, I’d like to take a moment to let you know about a new feature that was in our last release that may not have been obvious.

We’ve adjusted the Pasties feature of the browser so you can now save them along with your bookmarks. This feature should be helpful for those of you that like to prepare for presales ahead of time as it will allow you to save passwords to your ticket sale page. Here’s an example of how you can organize your links for any sales hour and save your passwords to it.

1. Open up one page each of the sales you want to buy for a given hour.
2. Right click on the page and click ‘Add Pasties’
3. Type the password for the sale into the yellow Pasties box. (Do this for all sales)
4. Now use the ‘Duplicate Tab’ button to open up as many pages as you want for each sale. Note that the Pastie will open along with the new page.
5. Once you have the right number of pages for each sale, click the big heart button to save all open pages into one folder.

At this point, you can close these pages if you wish. When the sale time approaches, click the bookmarked folder and select the option to open all tabs. Notice that your passwords are saved into Pasties on their assigned pages.

If you have not used Pasties yet, try it out. The biggest advantage of Pasties is that instead of typing passwords in, you can just put your cursor in the password box and double click the yellow Pastie box…it automatically gets entered into the password box.

Update About Today’s Server Problem

Sunday morning, we had an issue with our server and as a result, most, if not all, users experienced difficulties keeping their browsers activated. If you experienced trouble logging in to the browser today, it was likely related to the server outage and was not an issue with your account. We have restored service and are currently investigating why this happened so we can take preventative measures to avoid it in the future.

We know that downtime, especially during on-sales, is unacceptable. Therefore, in addition to troubleshooting today’s server issue, we are also investigating ways to ensure that if we do experience server downtime in the future, it will not affect browser activations. There are some challenges with this, but it will be our immediate focus to get some safeguards in place.

Again, we apologize for the issues this morning and thank you for your patience.
